This was a spur of the moment climb with a friend, plus an excuse to head into the Poudre Canyon for the second time in six days. We parked at a large pulloff from CO 14 that spanned both sides of the road just NW of the summit, where there were no fences to cross or signage to steer us away. The climb to the summit started on a gradual ridge to a small outcropping then up steep terrain into the trees. From there route leveled off a bit before topping out on a wide, grassy summit with a small cairn marking the very top. Much of the west slopes are burnt by the High Park Fire.
