Horsetooth Towers 3/20

Since I now have a Larimer open spaces pass, I was finally able to visit Horsetooth Mountain Park again during spring break. I started out on the Horsetooth Rock trail before taking the Horsetooth Falls trail to the small but nonetheless impressive waterfall which I had never seen before. Then I met up with the Spring Creek trail and followed it all the way to Towers Road, which is a relatively flat stretch of trail that follows the creek and the many grassy meadows along the way. Since I didn't plan to climb Horsetooth Rock, I decided to climb up to the communication towers for the views into Redstone Canyon and beyond. After dropping back down I took the West Ridge trail back to the Horsetooth Rock trail and back down to the trailhead.
