Mount Margaret 5.6mi RT 500' EVG 11/2
I climbed the true summit of Mount Margaret from Dowdy Lake following some old ranch roads which form a network of flat trails through the forest. Mount Margaret and its misinterpreted summit both sit on rampart ridges that extend off the bench holding the Red Feather lakes above Lone Pine Creek, both have clear trails leading to them but neither have signage that makes it clear which one is the actual summit and which one is not. Anyways, a second time around without snow on the ground made it much easier to follow the faint trails through the open forest and meadows to the blocky summit with good views.
